He received good support from Shashank Singh (52 off 36)* and a late flourish by Marco Jansen (34 off 19)* to take Punjab to a formidable 219/6 in 20 overs.

Among CSK’s bowlers, Khaleel Ahmed (2/45) and Ravichandran Ashwin (2/48) managed to grab some crucial wickets, but the onslaught from Arya left little room for control.

Chasing a big total, CSK began solidly with Devon Conway anchoring the innings with 69 off 49 balls.
